The federal government has -- for perhaps the first time -- taken a stab at estimating how many of the country's veterans are homeless, but the report by Employment and Social Development Canada cautions the data is far from complete.

Used up and thrown away. If anyone has any illusions about military service they should just take a look at the Veterans who are now not being taken care of by the Gov't to understand that it's not a contract for life but a Government "what can you do for me now" contract which, at the end means they'll do whatever they can to get out of any social or moral obligations they think they might have.

The federal government is arguing it does not have a social contract with veterans in response to a class-action suit brought by veterans upset with the compensation arrangement offered to wounded soldiers under the New Veterans Charter.

And if anyone has any illusions about he current ruling party being different allow me to remind them that they were the ones who brought in things like lump sum disability payments and the Government practice of robbing pensions funds.

So, for these 2500 homeless vets and the thousands of others who can't get the support they need it'll just be business as usual despite all the promises.

Do us a favour and take your photo into the bathroom, bend over, touch your toes and then, gently ram it so far up your ass that everytime you smile all people can see are pixels.

These are just the ones that use shelters though. Homeless vets that don't use shelters aren't counted. :(
