And yet these same bureaucratic assholes let thousands of illegal immigrants awaiting deportation to hide in plain sight.

What a fucking gong show. They should burn the whole agency down and start again with an entirely new staff that's taken and IQ test............ and passed.

But when Barnes' permanent residency card came through while she was away, "they said that because she wasn't in the country to collect her papers, she displayed no interest in becoming a Canadian," said Barnes' mother.

A PR card has NOTHING to do with becoming a Canadian, and is NO REASON to not be allowed into the country.

This is fucked up and needs to be taken to court. CIC, SHAME ON YOU.

Clearly a case where the Canadian diplomatic personnel overseas in the field know what they're doing and how to rectify a problem as fast as they possibly can. Too bad the situation got screwed even more when it got taken over by the Ottawa bureaucracy and those who couldn't find their collective asses with both hands and a flashlight.

She seems like a lovely girl. This nonsense shouldn't have happened to her and her family.
