More Tamils bound for Canada

Great news. We need more useless immigrants. You know, to balance out all the 'useful' ones we already have.

My bad. How could I forget...everyone in Canada is an immigrant right? My family showed up in the early 1700's so I totally see the comparison and how it is relevant. End sarcasm.

Common man( ) If you pay USD 40,000 per person why not just migrate legally?

OR spend that money to move to a gulf country close by and setup a bussiness and make money while you wait for your papers to come through ! 40k is a over 4.5 million in srilankan rupees. Thats quite a fortune to have in that country and you could probably but the govt with that much money. No way those funds are legally gained, and anyone who has that kind of money legally in Srilanka would be getting on any boat but cathing a plane.

I mean I'm all for refugess who really deserve refuge, but this is rediculas.

They can just pay for false papers and claim to be a refugee. Canada will take them with very few questions asked.

Oh yeah I forgot, every one of the assholes on those boats is a potential vote, so I guess we should just suck it up, warm up the welcome to Canada sign and keep smiling, since our politicians are gonna make sure we keep getting fucked but never kissed.

Hmmmm.... our country was built by private citizens using their initiative. Carpe - God - deim. There are lots of privately owned vessels on the West Coast that have a fair bit of range and tonnage.

They can line up with the Coast Guard, RCMP and Navy and hold up umbrellas so the boat people won't get sunburned on their way here!
Because you know how important it is to land them so we can charge those evil criminals with the full force of Canadian law.
Oh wait, there's no minimum sentence yet for human smuggling! No point even laying charges against anyone because without minimums they'll let them all go!
