One dead in home explosion Four injured in massive blast

A massive explosion at a north Edmonton home Sunday has killed one person and injured four people, police said. About 20 homes were affected and at least seventy people were evacuated, according to district fire chief Robert D'Aust.

To put the size of the blast in perspective. I was on duty no the base today and we thought that something in the mechanical room had blown up as it shook the building...... Were about 4-5km away.

My first thoughts were a drug lab or a natural gas leak, but seeing it was one house i'll go with the former rather than the latter.
