Sometimes eco nuts make me want to plant my boot in their ass, other times I want to do something like commit arson in places that serve shark fin soup. :x

Wellll I can't talk much there. I had shark fin soup many years ago and it was
It's not exactly something I go out of my way to look for though. I had it once, thouroughly enjoyed it but am nervous about mercury content these days so I wouldn't bother having it again. Too bad, it really is quite tasty.

I've been told there is no flavour, or nutrition derived from the fins. That part is just for status. The flavour comes from whatever broth/spices they use.

http://www.sharkwater.com/ Film by a Canadian biologist. Give it a watch if you havn't yet.

He gets chased by the Shark Finn Mafia and almost dies of flesh eating disease. It's good TV!

I worked with a couple of Chinese girls and they had me eat a jellyfish dish for lunch.
It was very good but I'm pretty sure the taste came from the spices only.
So hot... the top of my head was wet when I finished.
