The Nazis’ infamous iron sign declaring “Arbeit Macht Frei” — German for “Work Sets You Free” — was stolen Friday from the entrance of the former Auschwitz death camp, Polish police said.

    I'd say it was a university student prank if it wasn't so sick. Didn't a bunch of UBC students suspend a VW bug from a bridge?

    Some germans would like to see those places bulldozed. I have a couple of buddies in Bovaria. They feel like WWII is a ball and chain they'll never be rid of. They think that's what the world associates them with when the travel and people hear their German. Especially the 6'3" blonde one 8O . (bad joke, sorry Hius).

    Could have been young guys with that attitude just drunk and acting out of anger maybe... I can see it.
