It's appears Canada Day is going to be a big fizzle in many parts of Toronto, with festivals, celebrations — even the city-sponsored fireworks display — cancelled
We're getting some of that in the Staes. A number of July 4 celebrations are being cancelled, for us it'se largely budget cuts. In Canada it's other reasons, but it still is an instution and it not being held just leaves a sense of something important is missing.

True enough, but people have no right to complain unless they are williing to contribute to the solution. They'd probly get Gangbangers and a shootout if the city set it up anyway.
