A major airplane engine manufacturer dumped raw sewage in the St. Lawrence River off Montreal's south shore for several years with the government's knowledge, according to a CBC/Radio-Canada investigation.

    Well, we can't just have raw sewage emptying into
    the water at the east-west extremities of
    Halifax and Victoria...otherwise those terrorist
    scuba divers will just swim upriver....

    do you have any proof?Do you mean other than the fact that fecal coliforms don't kill birds?

    Birds are typically the cause of fecal coliforms in water systems - that's why you don't drink the water from a duck pond.
