Donald Trump’s anti-trade agenda could prove to be a problem for Canada, but the risks aren’t spread evenly, TD Bank says in a new report — some parts of Canada are much more exposed to Trump’s potential policies than others.

It will be interesting to watch Trump make America great again.

Canada...mmmm, not so much it seems. This is in line with what I thought, Ontario will get decimated first, though I assume the pain will also be felt Westward, outside of the XL Pipeline which will be a positive realisation.

Thankfully we have Vince Hawkes and Bob Paulson around to create jobs for Canada. We are in good hands. Of course, they will have to do so on a smaller budget. They are part of the "make Canada poor again" school of "business"...

I'm glad we've already started one.

True, but you'll need a few more layers of paint before anyone really notices it.

What's the law regarding that house right on the line? Are they dual citizens or something? Maybe the tourist office?

If I correctly remember what I heard and read decades ago, a strong American can only be good for Canada... so if Trump makes America great again, some of that greatness will trickle north. But if what he does backfires in his face, it will be bad for us too.

Trump will make Canada stronger by destroying America. Let's just wait and pick up the pieces if there are any left.

He can't do worse than the RCMP or OPP have done to Canada. At least he has a security apparatus that takes an oath to uphold their constitution...

Someone hasn't been paying attention. I guess Snowden was lying?

Or Trumps choice for CIA director wants to have carte blanch for spying on everyone again? Like it was pre-snowden?

If the CIA or FBI did to Americans what the police in Canada do to Canadians, they would face a courtroom on top of massive media exposure. Which, if you haven't noticed, they face when they conduct abuses they don't have state owned propaganda, I mean "news" (good work CBC you are the best). They prioritize and focus on threats not rabbit hunting and punching the clock for a paycheque.

I think it's a matter of principle and confidence really. It's why Bob Paulson mocked a female employee when they sued his force and why Vince Hawkes won't do a DNA test on a pair of pants so that Jason Boyle's family can get closure so many years later. There's more to both of those stories it seems.

Two sub par, self serving leaders (of many sub-par self serving leaders in Canada) who wouldn't be suitable to lead a Scouts Pack in America, probably neither who in their primes could run the 100 metres in under 20 seconds. When these are who your force is modelled after, no wonder our allies don't trust us.

    Build the wall.
Out of BC softwood. Make the Americans pay for it!
