Justin Trudeau wiped away tears during a roundtable with Syrian refugees and sponsors, as one newcomer recalled being greeted by the prime minister when he arrived in Canada one year ago.

Truly, we have a blubbering idiot for Prime Minister.

I wonder why, especially now at Christmastime, why he isn't standing outside foodbanks and bawling apologies to those people.

Oh, they are Canadians, that's why.

Well, outside of the tears, at least these people appreciate being here. I can bet they have a greater respect for liberty, democracy, Rule of Law and Due Process than many of the driftwood who have been here for generations.

We need good, hard working, contributing refugees. We need to also work to ensure that many of the dbags who are born here who thirst for power who contribute nothing else to the Canadian fabric fail in their ambitions.

I will be more succinct, some of these refugees will probably contribute more and cause less damage than say, a useless conman like Bob Paulson. If Bob traded places with one of these refugees, and we sent him on a boat to another country, it would be addition by subtraction for Canada. Alas, we can't do that, and instead have to put up with his ilk for a little while longer. This also goes for the dirtbags and cowards he shielded from exposure and judgement in court, and the parents who raised them.

    Have a great day!

    ROTFL ROTFL

I would seriously like to take a sip of that Kool-Aid you seem to have in abundance over there. You honestly think those Syrian refugees actually give a shit?! You're living in a dream world with only a one person population - you. Go to Europe and ask Germans or French or Italians how much of a shit the refugees gave there.

Once again, go ask Europe how it worked out. Refugees contributed more crimes (rapes/assaults/thefts) than the average person, more general unlawfulness, and destruction of property because they didn't get their way. These refugees contribute NOTHING, and are a drain on our resources and economy.

Do we need to bring in immigrants? Yes, but they need to be controlled, and not just brought here because their own middle eastern country is too stupid ad self-absorbed to do anything but fight itself to pieces. Canada is not here to solve everyone's problem. We need to look after our own first and foremost. We have kids/women/VETERANS living on the streets in this country (which is a horrible injustice), and yet we bring it people by the thousands who would spit on all of them just to get a free ride. Disgusting and disgraceful.

The fact that you support all of this, shows how out of touch you are, and what kind of person you have become.

Yeah because that's what Harper used to do :roll

What would he be "apologizing" to people at food banks for anyway? And what does that have to do with this story?

I can see you have never been anywhere near North Africa or the Middle East.

Your words, those words, are completely unknown over there.

Wonder how many have found jobs, learned English, volunteering in the community,
watching / playing hockey, and how many are just being dumped onto provincial welfare.

    We will never find out.

The majority of the Syrian refugees entering Canada live well under the poverty line and qualify for numerous government assistance programs that are not available to Canadian citizens of even lesser means.

What I just posted is 100% accurate and if you wish to challenge it then do your homework first.

That's always been true for most refugees What is false is that the government assistance is not available to other Canadians

There is a right-wing fake news story circulating to the contrary but it's just the usual conservative lies. See story here:

Fact check: Do refugees get more financial help than Canadian pensioners?

As Canada’s new Liberal government moves forward with its plan to resettle 25,000 Syrian refugees by the end of the year, false claims about how much money will be spent to support them have been circulating online.

Nor FN children that are killing themselves....but hey that's not going to get him any photo ops, and the attention he craves. Insincere piece of shit.

Unlike Harper, often seen weeping over poor and indigenous. Not.

Righties love to bash lefties for overly generous handouts to undeserving poor people and FN, except when the opposite claim is more convenient.

So you're simple minded enough to believe that crocodile tears are more acceptable? Oh wait, you crack jokes about kids committing suicide. Sorry, my bad. Back to your lyrics for the next wooden nickelback album.

Nope. In addition to their monthly stipends Syrian refugees to Canada receive a ~$5,000 one-time 'set up' payment that is not available to Canadians. They also receive educational assistance and job locating assistance that is not made available to Canadians.
