President-elect Donald Trump announced Monday he has chosen former campaign 2016 rival Ben Carson to become secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Luckily for him he was born in America and not some socialist/caste system. He might still be relying on food stamps rather than having his God given skill and ambitions drive his fate.
Carson has often recounted his childhood as the son of a single mother in inner-city Detroit in his books and motivational speeches. In his 1996 autobiography "Gifted Hands," Carson wrote of the humiliation he felt using food stamps from his mom to pay for bread and milk, and said how he began to excel at school only after receiving a free pair of glasses that allowed him to see the lessons written on chalk boards.

So it's food stamps bad...free glasses good.? Thanks, I was confused.
Well...there was that whole business of working his way from a background of food stamps to head the neurosurgery department at John Hopkins University.
I think the biggest decision Obama's pick as HUD secretary, before he was elected a mayor, was whether to take the free ride of a tennis scholarship at Trinity or the affirmative action ride at Stanford.
