At the Suncor oilsands mine north of Fort McMurray, drivers and heavy equipment operators nervously watch as massive trucks rumble by with no one behind the wheel. With every passing truck, workers can imagine their lucrative jobs slipping away.

I did the freedom 47 plan and retired from being a highway finishing grader operator. That was many moons ago. I'm not sure if I could go back and operate a grader now, with the technology they have today. All you do is drive the machine in a straight line and the GPS runs the controls, hell, new graders don't even have a steering wheel anymore. Bad deal for surveyers also.
