Tax payers employing corporate workers through grants?

    We're in BIG trouble.

Hmmm, I wonder the majority of automakers are located in Canada?

The Canadian government is quietly planning to change the key terms of its Automotive Innovation Fund, which has previously offered automakers low-interest loans to support investments in Canada, according to a report earlier this week in the Toronto Globe & Mail. The government is likely to change the fund from a loan program to a grant program.

My guess is if these companies were located in the Western Provinces there would have been a 276% tariff placed on the parts required to build the vehicles instead of a free gift of taxpayers money.

We used to have a lot of heavy truck production in the west. Kenworth, Freightliner, Interntional, Western Star... no cars though
