Because people prefer to defend themselves instead of having the likes of you say that they are wrong to even want to.

Because target shooting is an enjoyable pastime. And it's growing.

several reasons, one is really the increased involvement of shooting sports in general and more specifically; activities like IDPA and IPSC. Running and gunning with pistols in holsters and shooting behind cover etc. It's pretty fun.

I would also say that many of the people I know who were mainly hunters with non restricted firearms are now simply enjoying another form of shooting. It's self perpetuating, as there are more and more gun owners, who then tell more and more people the rates of gun ownership in general will increase.

Some are merely getting ready for that day of reckoning with the end product of the immigration system that people like you ruined our countries with.

We seem to have two very different trains of thought going on here.

not really, most people I know who bought handguns started with just the interest in tactical shooting skills, but soon it morphs into self defense, and most often without and prodding or hinting. It is a natural progression to go from tactical shooting to thinking about self defense.

Did you buy a restricted weapon because of immigration?

You can't hunt immigrants. The pelts aren't good for anything and the meat is gamy.

Hey, looks like I can blame the US:
Somerset says much of the increase in popularity of restricted firearms in Canada originates in the United States where laws have changed to make it easier to buy handguns and assault-style rifles. That has led to more models on the market and more advertising – attracting Canadian gun owners as well, he said.

"The trend in the United States with this growing market, with all kinds of marketing and advertising and so on, is naturally just pushing the same trend in Canada and we see growth in restricted firearms licences as a result."
So a lot of yahoos that want to look tough, just like the Mericun*ts.

Stand back everyone AndyT just got a hard on and might have an accident. He believes his own lies so much but hey we already know that. So seeing as how AndyT believes everything is Americas fault he must then be a RACIST. You see AndyT thinks anyone white in America is a RACIST and thus he himself is a RACIST because of America.
