An new ad campaign for Sprite has raised more than a few eyebrows this week. The new advert, running with the tagline, '#BrutallyRefreshing', has appeared on billboards in Ireland and on Irish websites. It features such witty and definitely not sexi

You know what's better than SJW tears?

Washing them down with a cool refreshing Sprite.

Looks like they have extremely savvy marketeers.

Probably cost peanuts to put up those offensive ads in Ireland. Now, they are getting global attention.

Once the condemnation settles, and the appropriate apology is made, Coke gets a whole ton of potential clients left with nothing but a large Sprite image in their minds.

It has already happened and succeeded for a couple of firms.

    Intel
    Bacardi
    Sony
    Dove
    Diesel
    Burger King
    Etc.

All have run offensive ad campaigns and all saw no major impact on their sales. They did, however see decreases in their marketing expenditures.

    That's what I was thinking.

These were marketed at an online site for young guys called Joe. The users there will be popping a lot of cool refreshing sprites and yukking it up.

As to worries they won't get laid. Their attitude will be...

take her pet-boys, she's yours.

but let's be honest, they're not exactly beating em' away with a stick over at Andy and PD's weekly sensitivity studies meet-ups.

    Oy.

Is there anything that doesn't offend someone somewhere anymore?

Definitely not great ads IMO but obviously they are proving to be successful as thanks to those who are offended, they are getting lots of attention to their product.

What I don't understand is when people deliberately set out to offend other people, and then act offended at other people taking offence.

Obviously the ads were designed to appeal to the sexist childish minds if young men. Of course they're sexist. And the ads don't even make sense, what's the connection between slut jokes and drinking Sprite?

See if this'll give you a clue.

Seems like something that would work better in an ad for beer instead of soda pop. To wit, look at all those feminists.

Expecting your own feelings to always be indulged and prioritized, however inconvenient to others and however small the slight, sounds an awful lot like “privilege.”

As Fiddle and the rest of the MRA here expect everyone to be okay with their feelings always being indulged and prioritized, to the point of brand loyalty over it.

Can't speak for Fiddy or anyone else but the rest of us probably wouldn't have even noticed the ads until the SJW's started flipping out over it. When it comes to women we're usually top busy noticing things like how many of them keep getting attacked by Muslim males something which, ironically enough, the same SJW's that went nuts over a Sprite ad don't seem to care too much at all about. :|

All this does is remind me of two things.

Back when I was working in the Jail some guards were going on about sluts back when they were in High School. After about 5 minutes of them talking about these girls I chimed in "Yeah thank God for those sluts or none of us would have gotten laid as much as we did in school." They all just looked at me then got really sheepish.

2nd thing. The difference between a slut and a whore is a slut sleeps with you and everyone else a whore sleeps with everyone but you.

So cheers to all those sluts who did all of us guys in high school and all the whores that Andy knew back then. They might not have tasted good but they had good taste.

Think real hard on this BEFORE you spout how offended you are at this.
