After recent shootings of black men by police in the United States, and the retaliatory shootings of police officers, Ottawa police recruiter Const. Mark Miller says his job is getting tougher, particularly when it comes to his own community.

I don't believe it. He must be an Uncle Tom or Ruckus.

Part of the reason marginalized people might not want careers in policing is the scrutiny they'd face from members of their own communities, Miller says — something with which he has personal experience.

"I can think in my mind of more clear instances where I've been treated poorly by my own race because of the profession I've chosen, which may be another factor of why some people don't want this career from certain communities," he says.

"I dare say that I'm actually treated more negatively by people of my own community, at times, than I am by any other race. I've been called a sellout, I've been called whitewashed, I've been called all sorts of names. You do get your typical racist slurs which some people say in the heat of the moment or they're intoxicated; they don't like authority. So it's not so much me or race that they're saying that to, but maybe the uniform or the organization or what I represent."

Holocaust survivors often held a grudge against the kapos, too.

    1) abolish the police
    2) let it all burn, watch from a safe distance as all the trash eat each other
    3) hopefully build something better out of the ashes with whatever smart/non-insane/non-criminal people are remaining
    4) institute full eugenic profiling afterwards to weed out the tards/kooks/monsters before they're born just so none of this tedious bullshit ever happens again
