The "Ship of Fools' at the Guardian had their turn to talk, now let's hear from somebody who didn't cause 3 countries to waste millions of dollars rescuing their sorry 'Warmagedon' believer asses off an ice flow, because they had faith against all scientific evidence that the Antarctic was melting and they could toodle down there on a boat without getting jammed in the record ice they should have known was there at the time.
"Stop the Press: A few Climate Skeptics Received Some Money"
Greens have long been confused at the success of climate skepticism. Given the lavish funding organisations like the WWF receive from government sources and green activists, they are desperate to find out where we get our funding from.
Consider the following – the budget breakdown for the WWF FY2015;
INDIVIDUALS $98,329710 34%
IN-KIND AND OTHER $69,496,505 24%
GOVERNMENT GRANTS $48,459,713 17%
OTHER NON-OPERATING CONTRIBUTIONS $19,682,814 6%
CORPORATIONS $10,712,311 4%

So what sort of funding did skeptics receive?
"Earlier this year, bankruptcy filings from the country’s second-biggest coal company, Arch Coal Inc, revealed funding to a group known mainly for its unsuccessful lawsuit against the climate scientist Michael Mann.
The $10,000 donation to the Energy and Environment Legal Institute (E&E) was made in 2014, according to court documents filed in Arch’s chapter 11 bankruptcy protection case.
Last October, court filings from another coal company seeking bankruptcy protection, Alpha Natural Resources, revealed an $18,600 payment to Chris Horner, a fellow at E&E."
(More at the link for the OP.)
Just one green group, the WWF, last year received just under eleven million dollars from corporations, and just under fifty million dollars from government. Yet greens think a handful of skeptics receiving a few 10s of thousands of dollars is news.
The truth is very few climate skeptics receive funding. I have never received a penny for what I do. We do what we do, because we believe our efforts will help make the world a better place.
It is bizarre and I think more than a little telling, that today’s well paid green executives find it difficult to accept that the people who oppose their climate propaganda are mostly volunteers.
Leading green groups might have been founded by volunteers, but most of those volunteers have long since retired. Perhaps the lavishly rewarded executives of today’s establishment green organisations have forgotten that doing what is right, helping to create a better future for our kids, is more important to some people than the size of your bank balance.

I wonder who financed the NDP's LEAP Manifesto..
Excellent point, go follow the money-if there even is any money. Because we all understand how the profit motive drives big polluters to finance climate change denial but if global warming is in the vast world-wide conspiracy righties claim it to be, who would be funding it and what is motivating them? Righties have never been able to answer that question.
I wonder who financed the NDP's LEAP Manifesto. I also wonder what the over/under is that anyone involved with it ever had dirt under their fingernails even once in their entire lives.
What's there to finance? It's just the same bunch of hippie dippie anti-capitalist BS we've been hearing since the 60s from the far left?
But if they ever got in power federally (shudder), I have little doubt the Dippers would be just as crooked as everyone else and do their level best to tip the system in their favour.
How about 'global warming skeptic'? Because that's what we're really talking about.

And yet, provincially, they are fine, even though half the AB government comes from
Dippers all over Canada, cuz free gov't trough monies.
What is a 'climate denier'? Someone who denies we have a climate?
How about 'global warming skeptic'? Because that's what we're really talking about.
It's a problematic term because even the most rabid warming acolyte has to acknowledge that warming won't be global. Northern hemisphere is set to cool dramatically if the worst of their prophecies come to pass.

Yup, Iv'e said his before...
How can one be a AGW denier when, after all, it is rather difficult to deny something which does not exist.
How about 'global warming skeptic'? Because that's what we're really talking about.
Limited characters for the title, had to try and abbreviate.
Anyway, since all of the "global warming skeptics" tend to be centrally-funded and centrally-organized, and many are often revealed to be the same entity operating under different names and identities in order to appear to be more numerous, and since they're all mostly backed by the same small group of pollution profiteers, it's pretty obvious where the conspiracy lies, and why it exists.

If you say so
All in all, I think the Dippers have been a mixed bag here in Alberta.
I'm certainly not a fan of their wealth redistribution plan they call a carbon levy, nor of their commitment to raise minimum wage to $15 bucks an hour by 2018.
However, I do like that they got rid of the flat income tax and are planning on investing more in infrastructure.
But like them or not, they are the government until spring 2019.

Well, it does explain why some people have so much free time on their hands
