The incidence of accidents where drivers have smoked pot is way up. This proves that pot is as bad as booze for driving, because they would tell us if these drivers were also on other drugs/booze besides pot, right?

No shit. I remember test after test trying to prove a link between pot smoking and driving back in the 60s and 70s that failed again and again. Then they got one, and it's the only one referenced ever.
The interesting mention in the article is the combination of weed & drinking. I've noticed this since the disco days, all my friends were complete shit at driving after only a couple (I mean an actual 2) drinks. They'd weave and wobble all over the road until I made them pull over and ride shotgun. New West cops would always pull up and make sure that I was the driver, they knew I wasn't into getting wasted.
