Not exactly a 'crash'. They report now that it made several sharp turn before disappearing at 37,000 feet. Not much to crash into up there.

Sounds like evasive action. Any Russian fighters in the area at the time?

I'm thinking more of an explosion. A-380's are fly by wire, and won't let the pilot do any acrobatics it's not capable of. Seeing the plane do some sudden maneuvers then drop 28,000 feet makes me think it either broke apart because of excess stress of those moves, or exploded.

And since it departed from France, that is bad on many levels. PDT_Armataz_01_23

    37,000 feet. Almost 976km/h.

Sharp turns didn't show on the tracking, just disappeared.

If it's another case of the pilot going nuts, air marshals can't do anything.

Especially if it's one of those notorious Cuban Eritrean types.

The blackbox will hopefully tell. The last time this happened the pilot was recored saying "Allah Akbar" before the crash.

Not that one. Some years ago there was another Egyptian airline that went down where the pilots last words were those. Though there is some debate whether they were the cry of a would be martyr, or the cry of a final prayer in the face of the horrible inevitable.

Air marshals don't get to play with the airport's ground crew.
Someone put a bomb on the Russian plane couple of months ago.

    Happened after Paris.

A bunch of ground crew jihadis found after Brussels as well.

All cleaners in the EU buildings are, not Piet or Pierre.

Maybe Canadian security should have a little look as to who is working
    our airports these days.

I know, but he wasn't the last, as Brah claimed. Seems you don't have to be Muslim to crash aircraft.

Probably the Malaysian flight that went missing is a similar case.
