Is Ghomeshi complaint being dropped over credibility issues? Interview may hold clues

It's not really so much a complaint being dropped as a plea bargain. When Ghomeshi accepted the peace bond, it did two things: 1. Clearly justified his dismissal from the CBC; and 2. Allowed Ms. Borel to publicly describe her experience without fear of a defamation suit. By establishing the wrong-doing, it may also open the door to a civil action against Ghomeshi, though I bet his lawyer has already anticipated this and planned for that contingency.

Dunno, someone on TV just said she was as bad as Ghomeshi with the sexual innuendo.

while I do not like nor condone any of this behavior, as an armchair QB who just gets to see the news and read the papers on this situation; it appears to me, that these women liked it until sometime after they all found out he was screwing lots of other women. THEN they all had a problem with the way they were treated.

HUM, seem a bit like pot, meet kettle..he's black you know!

It's one thing to say no during or before, but you can't say no after! life doesn't work like that ladies.

"Awful Man Turns Out To Be Merely An Obnoxious Schlub, investigation launched into how any of this juvenile nonsense warranted criminal charges". That's how the headline and sub-header in all of this should read.

Decoutere's Twitter feed was full of some rambling silliness about going off to hide in a safe space. Are all these women that disconnected from reality, that they're at least half as responsible as Ghomeshi is for this stupidity but they just can't/won't admit to it? And that just because someone told them they were "victims" didn't give them the right to lie their asses off about the most important details of the case? This must be the kind of heady atmosphere that the celebrity star-fucker circuit in Toronto thinks makes them all sophisticated-like compared to us rubes in the rest of the country. :|

    ^^ That.

Like saying she was asking for it by the clothes she was wearing.

More like saying she was asking for it because she was asking for it.

To quote from the video, she was:

She's incredibly inappropriate, foul-mouthed and sexual and just like culturally out-of-step....

They also indicated that her conduct would have got most people fired instantly.

Then they discussed her liability issue and questioned what lawsuit would come about due to her behavior and she admitted to being "wrapped on the knuckles" for her behavior.

To all of this, she just .

So if you act "inappropriate, foul-mouthed and sexual" that means it's open season for a sexual predator to assault you? She was unprofessional and a bad employee so that makes harassing her and assaulting her okay?

    Who's the sexual predator here?

The one talking about fisting during a meeting or the sexual deviant being accused by a fellow deviant? Are either of them predators or just a little twisted?

It seems like they both crossed the link multiple times.

There is much scope for her to take legal action against the CBC for maintaining a dangerous workplace even after multiple complaints, wrongful dismissal, possibly too.
