Italy set to splash out a billion euros on dozens of landmarks

In total 33 historic sites in Italy will get the newly-announced government funds, including the ancient city of Pompeii which is set to receive  €40million.

    The old prison has a beautiful quality that such government buildings in the New World often lack. I can see why it's worth saving.

    Re-enforce everything with moar rebar so their eventual Muslim overlords have a much more difficult time of demolishing everything. :lol:
