Canadian bank fined $1.1 million for failing to report suspicious dealing

It is the first time the Ottawa-based Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada, known as Fintrac, has penalized a bank.

Coincidentally, this is the same amount that the U.S fined a Canadian bank for last year (this bank was named).

Someone probably bought something online from Amazon US instead of Amazon Canada and didn't pay the GST.
