Astronomers have captured video evidence of a collision between Jupiter and a small celestial object, likely a comet or asteroid. Though it looks like a small blip of light, the resulting explosion was unusually powerful.

    Jupiter's gravity helps draw in space debris and partially protects earth from being struck by asteroids. Eventually if Jupiter's mass increases enough it will ignite and become a star and wipe out all life on Earth. Ju-pit-er hurry up and do something about it. And yes, Im ten years old. :D
