As the rest of Canada adjusts their clocks for daylight saving this weekend, Saskatchewan times remain the same. Is daylight saving as important as it once was?
I say keep. Who wants to get up an hour earlier in the summer to enjoy that extra sunshine. Fuck that, I won't even get up early to go fishing! Find a better spot.
An archaic practice that's no longer relevant today. If they were really concerned about people they'd leave the time alone since when ever you deprive people of sleep, even an hours worth there's a spike in traffic accidents.
I think it should remain, but only in the evenings when people can enjoy it, get rid of it in the morning though, I'm with herbie, I just can't see myself getting up an hour earlier in the morning for an extra hour of sunshine even if I were to go fishing....
Stay - as in permanent daylight savings time. It would be nice to have an extra hour of daylight in the winter evenings, in the summer it doesn't matter either way.
While making it permanent year round will provide more sunlight in the winter afternoons it also means sun rise will not happen to 9 AM or later. In the end we will copy the Americans. When they added an extra 2 weeks in the spring and fall it did not make any sense for us, but it did impact US anticipated power usage. There was a big lobby to match the US due to trade. The lobby was mostly in Ontario as they could not mentally adjust to the customer base being an hour different for two weeks twice a year. They should live with Saskatchewan for awhile and then it would not be such an issue.

Go with that nonsense.
Old farts who can't stand a little change in their routine every 6 months
: Besides, how will you know when to change the batteries in your smoke alarm if we don't have DST.
I vote stay, it screams SPRING!!!
