The City of Vancouver is setting up a new kind of pedestrian crossing as part of a pilot project to help residents get across busy streets in three different locations.
Is this really breathless newsworthy? How long has the one by the New West Library been in place? What drives me crazy is drivers that sit and wait until the light stops flashing, even after the peds are long gone.
I don't have a problem with the one on 6th Ave, by the library, it's the one on 6th Street by London Drugs that drives me buggy. It seems the pedestrians wait until one of them is nearly across before they start out, basically holding up traffic for overly long periods.....
