Reversible fuel cell goes both ways for the US Navy

Boeing has delivered a new type of fuel cell to the US Navy for testing that can both store energy and generate electricity. Called a "reversible solid oxide fuel cell," it's designed to provide a more sustainable source of power.

    This process of breaking water down into hydrogen and using it is nothing new.

    As I recall the big problem is it takes more energy to break the water down than what the process ultimately produces. I wonder why Gizmag didn't mention that.
