Scientists in northeast Germany were poised to flip the switch Wednesday on an experiment they hope will advance the quest for nuclear fusion, considered a clean and safe form of nuclear power.

exciting news, we are slowly chipping away at a real clean, and virtually unlimited source of energy. I do think it will happen in my lifetime, assuming I live to the average age of a Canadian male.

If we truly do end up with limitless, clean, safe energy then you can count on some idiot eventually being opposed to it for nonsensical reasons.

I'm opposed to it because Women aren't represented proportionately in Physics, therefore clean limitless energy is misogynistic.

(just ignoring that perhaps women don't like physics . . .)

Someone will figure out a way to claim it's not safe and once again we are back to oil.
