I think this is crap. I'm not happy with the migrant situation. It's been poorly handled, and too many rotten apples have gotten through. but if you weren't prepared to pay for them yourself, you shouldn't have brought them in at all. Good, evil, or indifferent, you don't open your doors to a desparate group of people offering asylum and then confiscate their shit to pay for bringing them in. It's like offering people to your home for Christmas dinner and a few drinks, offering them a bed, and taking their jewelry in the morning because you maxed out your credit card on the electrical bill and the fucking turkey.

Do think migrants who have been forcibly stripped of their meagre posessions will behave better than if they haven't? I get they're trying to discourage migrants from coming so why not just ban them?

    Maybe.
But the fact is to get social benefits in Denmark, you are not allowed
to have property, or money in the bank, or things like that.

So these people are being treated the same as regular Danish citizens.

    That's fair, isn't it ?

( p.s. in the UK, you can have 16k pounds in the bank, and still qualify for full bennies.
    Is that ok ? )

They as in the govt and the media need to start using proper terms. There is a big difference between migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

Clumping every one into the migrant category is just going to add to the xenophobia. There are 1000s of legal migrants with visas, working, paying taxes etc etc.
