A team of researchers using historical documents and 21st-century archaeological techniques has confirmed the exact site where 19 innocent people were hanged during the Salem witch trials more than three centuries ago.

    No, you are confusing the details of that discussion since there was no calendar. Just to refresh your memory, there wasn't any issue with the transvestite, the issue was with the publishers misrepresentation of a product. So that is more a case of consumer dissatisfaction than any sort of a witch hunt. A witch hunt would be going out of one's way to persecute a group based on a false premise about their identity. Keep looking, it shouldn't take long to pinpoint an example.
