The 10,000th Syrian refugee is expected to arrive in Canada today. Whether she feels welcomed will test the skills of this new Liberal government.

But the Trudeau government will need to ensure that language training, housing and jobs are available for the new arrivals, without letting them jump to the front of any queue.

    Sure, sure. No queue jumping.

The easy way to avoid the problems is to not let them in to begin with.

That would mean a country's government use some common sense, which of course is a non starter.

We are mandated to let them in, we like to uphold our international commitments.

Well, then be nice to the rapists when they come to your neighborhood.

My neighborhood ? Nah, I live in Rexdale. It's what you might call self policing.

You folks will have to dial that down if you're going to have Moslem neighbors. The actual police will get upset if you have anything bad to say about your new neighbors raping your middle school students.

Canada and the US have a long history of Immigration, sometimes in sudden spurts. Germany and most of Europe do not. There is very little that Germany can teach us.

That said, Germany has taken in a huge influx. I don't think Canada or the US has ever taken in such a large influx of Immigrants, nevermind Refugees.

No entry unless French fluency is established! The Syrians will love that

Just like the Americans who signed off on the 1967 convention on the 1st Nov 1968. Hell they even signed off on it before we did. LOL
