David Bowie dies of cancer at 69

Wow, didnt even know he was sick.

His music helped get me through high school.

RIP David, and thank you.

Me neither. I'm stunned right now. And sad. The world just lost a great musician, and with Lemmy dying last week, this world got a lot less cooler in a week.

RIP David. And thanks for all the great music.

Wow this sucks. I was never a fan of his music or multiple persona's but I enjoyed his acting especially Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.

Bad couple weeks for music.

One of the best concerts I ever saw. RIP Ziggy.

Meh, the whole "baby groupie" thing was pretty unforgivable.

I followed him on his tour in the late 80's - Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal.

Best summer ever!

He will be missed.

"Modern Love" set the tone for the best part of the 1980's and I'll always be grateful to him for that!

I was shocked this morning when I heard.

RIP David. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with the world.

Saw the show in Calgary for the Sound + Vision tour back in 1989 or '90. Probably the single best concert I ever saw. No rock 'n' roll stupidity, just music. Today was a huge and bitter loss because there's not many of us old farts that didn't have at least one Bowie song on our personal best-ever list.

Here's mine, probably my favourite song of all time. RIP David.

That song was the end credits for the movie Lone Survivor but with Peter Gabriel doing the vocals.
