Yeah, I checked CBC afterwards and saw that. Some interesting opinions posted.
The comments that stood out were the ones that blamed it on some guy who got laid off from Fort Mac and the one that was basically "must have been a Calgarian because no one from Vancouver would ever behave that way".

That the guy arrived, attacked, and made his escape on his bicycle, instead of a pick-up truck that only evil racists would drive, makes it even more ironic.

Well, we know the perp was not from Fort Mac. Nobody there would ride a bicycle. Now if it had been a jacked up Ram with a muskeg package, then perhaps.
