There's nothing disgusting about it. Any soldier guilty of a war crime should be prosecuted for it.

You probably just read the title and assumed it meant anyone who served in Iraq could be prosecuted but they're talking about prosecuting specific allegations of murder, torture and abuse, with over 1500 possible victims identified.

Yeah, but they only murdered Muslims so that doesn't count. We should be as vicious as the people we are fighting or we'll never win. /sarcasm.

Of course they should, but the fear is that lawyers and politicians will include troops that used physical force when taking prisoners and other bullshit "crimes".

There should be but one trial for British war crimes in Iraq, that of Tony Blair.

Having recently completed our yearly ethics training, anyone actually guilty of war crimes should face the consequences, although only after proper trials have been completed.

That's pretty much always a concern. As long as the trials are open and fair and the media covers them, it should be all right.

Somehow I imagine that the Royal forces won't make their recruiting goals this year.

I used to catch shit because I preferred to go into the field without a spotter. Seems a pretty sensible idea now, doesn't it?
