EI up 100%, so now is the perfect time to introduce new rules that will make employers think a while longer before hiring anyone.

NDP business masterclass in action.

P.S. Doc I think your headline was too long, and it screws up the ability to
write a comment, so I reposted the story.

This guy's decided to pack it in altogether because all the extra stresses are going to put him out of business anyway.

What's there to say? You have to buy the premise that this will cause massive unemployment. I'm not an NDP lover, but I don't buy that premise, when the raise will take place over 3 years. BC raised its min wage $20 over 1 1/2 years (I think it was) and we had no terrible consequences. The job losses Alberta is experiencing have nothing to do with min wage.

I doubt you're unaware of the number of businesses, mostly the small ones, that are on the bubble out here over the past year and can't take anymore stress placed on them. I'll put it down that you just don't care as you get your social justice warrior way again at other people's expense.

So share the pain. Make everybody earning more than 25% above min wage take a 10% percent wage cut. That will open up all kinds of jobs and keep businesses from going under, right. What I always heard was the wages were so high in Alberta, almost nobody made min wage anyway, even Timmies employees were getting $15. You should go for one of those.
