So here's today's question. For $1800.00 a day is the "former" Liberal employee of the "former" Liberal Immigration Minister going to be there to meet them and make sure his staff gets them settled properly after all, if our new PM can do it why can't a former Liberal employee? ROTFL

Every refugee gets a jacket, mitts, free health care and an autographed 8x10.

You do know that these first few planeloads will be Armenian Christians who were vetted under Harper - right?

Sorry, I hate to interrupt a perfectly good hate fest with things as uncomfortable as 'facts'. :(

A friend of mine who is a former military doctor, was offered $1500 USD a day to go to Jordan to head up medical screenings. Don't know what this greeter was being paid for. he turned the job offer down as he has teaching duties at the U of M and work at St. Bs. He too was an immigrant, but from the Philippines he came over in Grade 2. His dad was an immigrant too, and retired in Hawaii a few years ago from the US navy. His youngest sister did two tours as an American MP in Afghanistan(She's a police officer in Honolulu), where he did two rotations as a doctor at KAFB.

Big difference between Dorval Airport and beautiful downtown Amman Jordan also, a big difference between a Doctor and a "former" Liberal Immigration ministers employee. XD

The doctor would likely have earned his $1500.00 a day the new immigrant greeter not so much.

I turned down an offer of $200 an hour to go work in the sandbox as a contractor.

I didn't accept the offer. But I'd probably volunteer to help the Kurds if I was asked to go as a US advisor.

It ain't all about the money for some people.
