Yup....fuck the rank and file living in abject poverty on the rez, we'll just give mo' money to the chiefs to prop up the bannock republics. We all know what fine stewards they've been of the funds they've received from the government thus far. usually we think of Liberal governments being advocates of the nanny state. PM idJT has become the poster boy for the ninny state.

In 4 years, we'll be in the exact same place.

Conditions on the reserves will be the same and the Natives will be upset at the findings of the inquiry.

Trudeau has a good plan. Canadians don't care about debt or deficit. Making groups happy, one grant at a time will ensure a second term. Just ask the Ontario Liberals how this plan works.

There would be nothing wrong with it, especially the money for education, if the money was strictly accounted for. But Trudeau will probably just shovel it off the back of a truck. After all, these are sovereign nations, and it would be racist to ask them to account for how the money was spent.

    especially the money for education

That means SFA. If the kids don't attend, and their parents don't give a flying fuck, it doesn't matter how much you shovel into education programs. Far too many are entering school that are pre verbal. In a Grade 7 class of say 25 you only have about 4 who are reading at or about level, and an equal amount who are able to handle math for their grade level. Then there is the entire behavioral issue......many if not most of these kids, due to abuse, FASD, and generations of consanguineous marriage are incapable of functioning in a school environment.
