The bacteria require energy to maintain resistance, so they lose it when they don't need it. That means we just need to stop putting antibiotics into the environment, and our existing ones will once again be effective.

Details: don't flush old antibiotics down the toilet. That puts them in the sewar, which ends up in the local river. Instead take old antibiotics back to your local pharmacy.

The biggest issue is use on farm animals. He said that has to be regulated better. The medical community has raised this point many times. Subthearaputic antibiotic means giving farm animals antibiotics all the time, not just when they're sick. Low doses has shown to cause animals to grow faster, so farmers do this to produce meat. But that is exactly how resistant bacteria develops. Regulation that the doctor said is only farm animals that are sick are allowed should be allowed any antibiotics, and when they are administered, enough antibiotic must be given to completely cure the animal.

When entering combat with bacteria, kill every one, don't let any survive. If you're not willing to do that, then don't enter combat at all. Obvious. Why is this still an issue?
