Canada will form a subcommittee to co-ordinate efforts to bring 25,000 Syrian refugees to the country by the end of the year, says John McCallum, Canada's minister of immigration, refugees and citizenship.

"Roughly 2,700 Syrian refugees are expected to land in B.C. over the next seven weeks, as part of the federal Liberal government's promise to settle 25,000 refugees in Canada."

And so the cultural suicide continues unabated, and somehow even manages to pick up steam. Thanks libbos!

Oh noes! The Syrian invasion of .000794% of our population has begun! And it will get as bad as .00735% of our population!

What an incredible invasion force landing on our shores! Run for the hills!

Do I need the sarcasm tag?

    1) let me know how it works out when those 25k are firmly anchored and in less than two years it shoots up to 200k after they send for their families

    2) justify your thought processes when one of them inevitably turns out to be an active ISIS member and brings to this country what they've been doing back home

We already let in 125k in 2014 alone. Nothing bad happened. Year, over year.

So, because one might be a member of ISIS, that means we let the other 24,999 freeze to death in the camps? It's not like we don't have natural born Canadians already serving ISIS anyhow.

I have a greater risk of being struck dead by lightning while winning the lottery than I do being killed by some random Jihadi. I take greater risks driving to work and being killed by a deer crossing the highway.

I can only hope that the world will end before the horror you are so blithely promoting comes to pass.

I think that's a bit extreme. I'd rather just be a traffic fatality than have the world end.

Yes, but the .ooooo1 chance of being a victim of a jihadi is so much worse. Better we all die. If I'm miserable, everybody else should be too.

I do think they are rushing this way too fast. They need to take the time to make proper checks. We know once they are on Canadian soil, getting rid of even the worst ones will be well nigh impossible. Maybe take these refugees we want to accept to a place where conditions are better, and take the time there to vet them thoroughly. I have no problem taking in refugees, but would like to see the nutbar contingent kept to a minimum.

Like I said a while ago; Jihadis are usually single men, or widowed women with no children. Minimize those demographics, and minimize the risk.

Plus, have the riskiest ones live on military bases until their checks are complete. Reduce the risk even further.

Hey! Don't be spreading your Jihadist ways here Bub! Next thing you know you'll want everyone skating on frozen ponds or something.

1st point, I don't think they are doing that, want to keep families together. Second, even on a military base in Canada, the charter kicks in and we won't be able to send them back, nor will the court allow us to keep them in prison.

I think JT shot his mouth off with his promise to do this before the next year. Very bad move. If he wants to keep families together, at least let only the women in children in right away, then vet the men more thoroughly. Bringing in suffering women and children is good optics too. Canadian soldiers carrying distraught looking kids onto planes.
