Two Ontario tourists are safe after an encounter with a grizzly bear in Banff National Park. Hilary Grant and friend came within a few metres of a grizzly while they were on a hike earlier this week in the Alberta park.

Holy bat Crap! Imagine that, being out in the wilderness and encountering of all things....a wild animal. It's her home numbnuts, you're at best visitors, at worst trespassers. It's like saying you saw some sea life while swimming in the ocean.

Around here we see Black Bears a few times a week when they are active. Around our place in the south we encountered them several times a month especially during fruit season as there are a few overgrown orchards(plum, crab and a smaller apple hybrid) on our land, as well as plenty of berries(chokecherry, saskatoons, cranberry, wild raspberries and strawberries and currants). There are also acorns and hazelnuts.
