Edmonton police have refused a request for information about a man who died after he was left alone in the back of a police van, while his family say their one-year window to seek justice is quickly running out.

    seems a little suspicious to me, like they are just waiting for the year to be up. If they changed procedures then that usually means something went wrong and they don't want to own up to it.

    There has to be a mechanism to get the information before the 1 year runs out, I can't believe that in today's age of information she has exhausted all avenues...

    Officers cannot be held criminally accountable under the act


    Total bullshit. This is literally a license to kill if the circumstances allow.
