Only four of the air force's venerable CH-124 Sea King helicopters are due to be written off between now and the end of next March, despite last June's splashy retirement party for the five decade-old workhorses.

Only 4? That means there's lots left in service, right. Or did they mean last 4?

There are approximately 26 Sea Kings still operating, and sources are saying only that four are due to retire by March 31, 2016.

I saw one of the new ones fly overhead about a month ago.
I wonder if some politician is using it to campaign?

Sikorsky is almost a decade behind in it's delivery of the cyclones. I think we only have 4 of them, hence the replacement of the 4 sea kings.
