8O Wow, is all I can say. Did she really say that out loud?

That is without a doubt the worst solution to homelessness I've ever heard of and borders on being one of the most depraved things that any sane person could think.

I dunno. If they cause trouble and just stink up the place (take a shower, for God's sake) then maybe this is the way to go. After all they made their choice, decided not to work and earn an honest living, so the consequences should fall on them. Maybe putting them in camps instead would be more humane, but those cost money. Why should the honest tax payer have to pay to look after these useless people?

I suppose if the Mexicans can't send their detritus to the USA then they'll just kill them. :|

And with the tacit approval of their government.

On a grander scale there are rumors that the police killed several hundred people who refused to move out of their to make way for the new World Cup and 2016 Olympic facilities.

Supposedly these government sponsored hit squads have been operating since the 80s and thousands of homeless and poor have been executed.

Wow, I guess some people are just born without that little voice in your head that screams at you to shut your mouth when you say dumb things in front of a microphone.

Not really. Odds are that this particular politician already has a lot of supporters that believe the same thing and will gain even more by saying these things out loud. It works almost everywhere it's employed as a tactic, with modern examples existing all the way from Vladimir Zhirinovsky to Donald Trump.

It's Brazil. She's probably more popular for saying this and as Thanos is astutely observing she was probably inspired by Trump to just be frank about her views.

It's usually a successful political tactic to appeal to the worst in people. Everyone everywhere hates someone else and it's one hell of a rallying point to build a political career around. It works surprisingly well and much more often than appealing to the good in people ever does.
