An Alberta Conservative candidate is threatening legal action against a Liberal opponent who demanded he repay money raised with the help of Senator Mike Duffy.

    I didn't post this for the story itself, but for this gem from the lawyer for the Cons:

    "Your suggestion that the fund raising done by Mr. Duffy for Mr. Calkin's was somehow wrong and as such Mr. Calkins has engaged in inappropriate behaviour by somehow allowing Mr. Duffy's to fund raise on his behalf is slander and liablass ," wrote Craig W. Paterson, of Ponoka, Alta., law firm Paterson & Company.


    I like that, liablass. I mean this can't be blamed on a spell checker, this is a lawyer who doesn't have the faintest idea how to spell libelous. Good luck with that lawsuit. Paluka Alberta?
