Couple days ago, a ferry was stopped in the harbour by 2 small lifeboats protesting.

Police did nothing for 6 hours.

Geez, this sounds like how the story told in Caliphate started. Europe overwhelmed by Muslim migrants.

More than 4,000 migrants arrived in mainland Greece from the island of Lesbos overnight. How can any country be expected to cope with this many migrants who seem to believe they somehow have a right to invade. I know many are refugees but many are not they are looking for a better life, but the sheer numbers are incredible and growing. There has to be some solution, but the U.N. wouldn't life it's butt to stop it.

A passenger on the train tweeted, "In relative terms this is a minor inconvenience for us, but a desperate, awful situation for those getting on the train tracks."

That, is what is wrong with the European mindset (and too many lefties over here for that matter). It is NOT a desperate, awful situation for the "migrants". They were in safe havens the moment they landed in Greece and Italy. These are just greedy, lazy opportunists who want nothing to do with a job and are simply stampeding north to get a piece of the free ride Britain will likely give them.

Have you ever been in a situation like that? Leaving your entire life behind, paying everything you have to some scumbag to escape war, cruelty, starvation? Dragging your family through hostile lands where you may be captured and tortured or killed?

That little kid that drowned. He looks maybe 3 or 4. So, just to be clear, you're telling me he's a greedy, lazy opportunist?

Perhaps if the West quit meddling and stirring things up in a Syrian war, fewer refugees would be fleeing.

Yes, and hats off to the war hawks for helping make it so. My solution: Get rid of freedom of the religion in the Constitution. You still have freedom of thought, freedom of belief, freedom of conscience, freedom of assocaiation. If we take in, say, 5000 refugees in Canada then that should be 5000 less non-refugee immigrants removed from that geographic area.

But my point is that nothing to do wiht that. My point is that, if my family were living in Syria, and I was on the wrong side of the local warlords, I'd do exactly the same thing these guys are doing.

Anyone who's still human is disturbed by images like that. No one wants it to happen to anyone of any ethnicity or religion at that age. The thing is though what happens fifteen or twenty years from now when kids that age have grown up? If they're Yazidis, Kurds, the few remaining Zoroastrians or Arab Christians from the area, or even Shiites, odds are they're going to be OK people as adults who won't go around shooting cartoonists or trying to wipe out the handful of European Jews that are still around. If they're Arabic Sunnis though, from the same sect that Osama Bin Laden, Al Qaeda, Saddam's Baathists, and ISIS came from? Then you've just allowed the worst vipers in the world into your country. Because if the previous couple of generations of Sunni shitheads that were let into Europe are any example they're the ones who are going to get hopped up on militant Wahabbism over the internet, and in the poorly-monitored mosques the Europeans allow to be set up everywhere, and then when they're old enough they'll travel to the nearest hotspots and get trained to become genuine terrorists. That's what happens with Sunni Muslims. Sympathy of the moment for them leads to a disaster later on. Winnow out the good refugees from the bad but a spine of absolute iron is going to be needed for the bad ones because you're putting your own head on the block the second you feel any sympathy for the ones most likely to turn into monsters when they're old enough.

If not, why would you give a rat's about anything relating to him and his.
Kid drowned - so what - happens all over the world every hour of every day.
Can't imagine why you would want to get personal over a kid you don't know and his circumstances.

If my family were living in Syria I'd be fighting for my country, not running away from it and then recreating the shithole I fled in your country.
