City officials closed most of the beach fronting Waikiki after heavy rains triggered a half-million gallon sewage spill near Hawaii's world-famous tourist district.

    Rio.....Waikiki, both beaches too toxic to swim at.

    You don't swim in Hawai'i after heavy rains because there's some parasite in their streams which can get in your skin. When the rain is heavy enough the parasite stays in the water near shore.
