The move from the players is just the latest in a rash of Cuban defections across various sports. It meant they could only field a team of eight out of 11 players in one of their matches.

    If they defected to the States, they have to learn to not be given a shit about.

    The Cubans are lucky, most people who defect from their 3rd world shitholes to the USA get absolutely no sympathy.

    Nope they just get housing, education, food stamps, financial assistance, better treatment from the US Gov. then it gives to it's veterans and other citizens. Those that wish to integrate into American society do so, maybe not with ease but with some acceptance.

    Also these Cubans may have defected to America, but they did it at the PanAm Games in Toronto.
