Well, apparently in Calgary it's a bigger deal than if you're White and being terrorized and threatened by a bunch of Somali thugs.
It's certainly a bigger deal than getting curb stomped by some Palestinian trash.

So you're saying these Somalis and Palestinians were outed publicly on national news and their employers stood by them? Or are you comparing apples and oranges?

They're probably on welfare anyway or working for family so they don't have to worry about ever getting fired for their behaviour. Their actions are always someone else's fault anyway. e.g. the people who gave them their free homes, the people who paid for their free homes, the cops and firefighters who come to save their free homes after the inhabitants decide to set their free homes on fire, etc.. The only time in their lives they'll ever face consequences of any sort will be later on when they shoot each other in drug deals.

Apparently what's gone pretty much unreported is that the drunk in question apologized, paid to replace the damaged camera, paid up a whole bunch of other money as compensation, and went to rehab. Doesn't seem to matter though because the system from the mayor's office to the cops to the local media is in full we-demand-BLOOD! mode.

Well his contrition was only after being caught and outed so take his motive with a grain of salt. Furthermore, the decision to fire him was the private decision of the employer. So pin that on them.

His company firing him is going a little too far. If this happened on company property and company time, then I could see the discipline. The fact that this had nothing to do whatsoever with his job, the punishment here is over the line. Also add to the fact that the 'victim' is a cabbie doesn't help either.

Personally, I have a strong dislike for cabbies. All of them, no matter their backgrounds. If they're not driving like complete idiots, some of them speak little english and have no idea what they're doing, but feel it's their right to complain that they are 'stuck driving a cab' and 'we aren't treated very well'. Same old cards being pulled. Instead of obeying the rules of the road and possibly making it less stressful for every other motorist, they do the exact opposite.

I'm tired of them protraying themselves as innocent all the time, when in reality, they are not. So someone went on a tirade. Didn't we used to have freedom of speech in this country? Or that is that only reserved now for muslims and people just pulling into the harbour?

How is the mayor involved in this? Is it a pc cornspiracy? In Calgary, of all cities, too.

It might surprise you but we haven't had a cross burning or major fag bashing around here in about thirty years. You'd actually probably find Calgary pretty comfortable these days. The people in the inner core all seem to share your politics and less than half of them are white now. As for the mayor there isn't a liberal moment of opportunity he doesn't take advantage of, like when he let some Occupiers set up tents in Olympic square and criticized those who were against them defecating in public all over the place. Kind of like Donald Trump actually, except from the left, where he has a "losers and haters" comment always at the ready for those who don't want the city left looking like into Yasgur's farm did after the music stopped and all the hippies went home.
