There's a better chance of hell freezing over than of Congress passing any deals that Obama signs.
As someone who has dealt with the Canadian apparatus for a long time, take it from me, we are not a nation meant to operate on free market principles, we are not an economic system designed to florish in a competitive globalization model. If we can't close a deal it is because many countries see the same problems that others see.

Here's what I think: "see Ontario". That is the microcosm of Canada's future. A jurisdiction that can't attract foreign businesses even while offering one of the lowest business tax rates in North America. I'm just the messenger, hold your fire. Based on what I've read about TPP, it has all the bad clauses from NAFTA (on steroids no less) with fewer benefits.
Pacific Rim? How about Atlantic Rim, where a Category 5 kaiju saves the human race by erupting out of Long Island Sound and eats Wall Street.
