While some celebrity moms swear by it and have made it trendy, doctors and scientists say consuming the placenta after birth offers women and their babies no benefit.

I first heard about this when Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had their kid thinking it was just more Scientology weirdness.

But now a friend of my girlfriend who's expecting wants to do this too...and I still don't get it. Why would you eat something that's been inside you? It's kind on an Auto-Silence of the Lambs.

Though apparently, you can get your placenta made into pill form so it's more...palatable?

Just came back from the LCBO and picked up a Bin 555 Shiraz.........maybe I should find one and try it out.  8O

Not a huge wine guy but I do like the Shiraz. I even use it to marinade roasts in and it makes an absolutely delicious gravy.

But I can't see it even helping some woman choke down a placenta. PDT_Armataz_01_32

Idiotic 'holistic' idea endorsed by scuzzy celebrities and lapped up by gullible organic-everything 'tards turns out to be complete bullshit? Who ever could have seen that conclusion coming.
