US warns China not to challenge military flights over South China Sea

"The Chinese navy issued warnings eight times as a U.S. surveillance plane on Wednesday swooped over islands that Beijing is using to extend its zone of influence.

The series of man-made islands and the massive Chinese military build-up on them have alarmed the Pentagon, which is carrying out the surveillance flights in order to make clear the U.S. does not recognize China's territorial claims. It's not China that has 800 something military bases worldwide, nor is it China that's bombing the hell out of other countries, nor is it China which is actively involved in overthrowing governments, nor involved (last I counted) in 5 different wars.

It's the US and its allies.

But in US Empire world, it's China that's a criminally aggressive nation.

To the point--take a look at the exclusion zones in the South China Sea area. Japan's zone goes right up to the coast of China and is far larger and more expansive than China's.

But pointing that out is something that doesn't fit into the US Imperial narrative and might lead to an actual informed critique, so none of that.
